Sprinkles Award

We got an award today from Sprinkles. It says, we are the sprinkles on her cupcake.

We like sprinkles and cupcakes and almost anything good to eat, so we suggested to Mum she get us real ones - just to make the award 'come to life'. She refused of course, she is a bitter old woman who likes to make everydog suffer along with her, sheesh!

Go over and see Sprinkles blog, it has some good stuff to read and 2 Chihuahuas too. Thankyou Sprinkles for this sweet award - get it, sweet, cupcake....

Indiana's Birthday Party!

Yesterday we were invited to Indiana's birthday party. Thank you Indiana, we had the best time ever!! We got all dressed up and took a cracker so the party would go with a bang!

There were nummies galore, here are just a few examples.

There were lots of our bloggie friends there, all having fun. Indiana showed us how you're supposed to eat cake - in big mouthfulls!

Elliot and Dinah tried to sneak a few dog bones home for Mum who is starving on a diet under the strict regime of Bridget, alas, she caught them.

"How dare you try to feed that poor dumb creature extra treats!"

Now it is the morning after the night before and boy, are we paying for it.

"Ohhhhhhhh, my head!"

"Blaugh, my mouth feels like the cat's litter box!"

"Is there any cure Mum?"
All in all, we gave it 4 paws up, what we can remember of it anyway, BOL!

The Dogteefs Fairy

Elliot - Mum quick, look what I've just spitted out.

Mum - It's one of your baby teeth Elliot, they will all fall out and make room for big new ones.

Elliot - Like a wolf?

Mum - Yes, just like a wolf. If we put it under your pillow the Dogteefs Fairy will take it for her necklace and bring you something nice in exchange.

Elliot - Wake up Mum, has the Dogteefs Fairy been yet?

Mum - Let's lift up your pillow and have a look.

Elliot - Look what she left. A biscuit bone and a chicken chew strip, yay!

Dinah - Those are good gifts, with any luck they might blunt those piranah teefs of yours a bit!

Elliot - I like the Dogteefs Fairy.

Contemplative Wednesday #2

If man evolved from apes, why do we still have apes?

Post Christmas Diet - Ugh!

Today we were sitting minding our own business when a blood-curdling scream came from the bathroom.

Huh?

Dinah - OMD, what now!

Bridget - What's happened THIS time Mum?

Mum - Aghhhhhhh, I've put on 12lb over Christmas - TWELVE! I thought my clothes were getting a little snug.

Bridget - You mean unbearable, don't you Mum.

Mum - (sulkily) Yes.

Mum confided her troubles to human brother #1 when he arrived, he was very supportive.

Mum - I've put on a bit of weight over Christmas, what am I going to do?

HB#1 - Try putting down the fork occasionally.

Mum - (under her breath) Harrumph, I knew I should have drowned you at birth.

Bridget - Don't worry Mum, help is at hand. Meet your new fitness instructor.

After Mum has been gorging herself like a reptile for the past 2 months it is time to redress the balance. Fresh fruit will be replacing cake, there will be orange juice instead of hot chocolate with lashings of cream.

As part of her fitness plan, I have devised a gruelling regime of exercise and I will not be satisfied until she has lost the will to live!

Mum suggested I run alongside her a la Cesar Milan but I said "not blooming likely" and will direct operations from my perch on the couch.

I think I will make an excellent trainer and after much thought have come up with the perfect motivational phrase:-

"Walk faster Lard Ass!"

Sweet Friends Award

Our friend Tessa the Maltese has given us an award!
It is the Sweet Friends Award and very appropriately given by a sweet and pretty little girl. Thank you very much Tessa.

Tessa is a very special dog. She is a Medical Assist Dog for her Mummy, Mum tells us that is like a nurse, wow!

We wish we had a proper career but we don't think begging for food counts - although we all could get a job as nuisances, whatever that is. Mum and Dad are always saying we are getting to be real nuisances - hooray.

The rules of this award are as follows:

1. Copy and paste to your blog
2. List 10 things that make us happy
3. Select 10 bloggers that brighten our day

Okay the 10 things that make us happy are:

1. Ripping up the post
2. Begging for food
3. Hogging all the most comfy places on the sofa
4. Going car rides and barking at big dogs out of the window
5. Avoiding having our photo taken (not an easy task in our house)
6. Laying in patches of sun (a rarity at the moment)
7. Playing in the garden
8. Sitting on the human's laps until their legs go dead
9. Grabbing food the humans dropped (tastes twice as good)
10. Growling when we have to put clothes on (that shakes them up, haha)

All our bloggie friends brighten up our day so we are awarding this to the first 10 friends who comment on our blog who haven't got it or would like it, congrats!
